Kentucky Opera now seeks applications for Director of Education Programs (DEP), responsible for planning, managing and administrating all budgeting, operations and personnel of the education department. The DEP will be responsible for the writing, creative design, implementation and marketing of our education programs, including but not limited to: I'm Into Opera elementary tour, Opera Works high school tour, Student Dress Rehearsals, Opera Previews, Season CD Recordings, Sights & Sounds, Lunch & Listen and other programs as they are developed and implemented. The DEP will be responsible for developing existing and new relationships with schools and music educators throughout the metro area and the Commonwealth. The DEP will also manage and direct the Kentucky Opera Studio Artist Program, with assistance and guidance from the General Director. The DEP is responsible for the auditioning, administrating, planning, scheduling and training of all Studio Artists, including Resident Artists and Apprentice Artists. The DEP will report directly to the general director but will collaborate with the Director of Production, Artistic Administrator, marketing and development staff as needed.
