Mission Statement/Description:
"The mission of Annapolis Opera is to present artistically excellent professional opera productions, educational programs and other opera-related events, featuring emerging artists to the Annapolis region. It is also important part of the mission to educate the citizens of all ages so that opera can better be understood and appreciated. To that end Annapolis Opera supports a variety of education programs that serve people of all ages, from schoolchildren to senior citizens. The final component of the mission is to support young, American singers, with emphasis on the mid-Atlantic region who are aspiring to professional careers. This is done through an audition process which specifically targets these singers, engaging these singers in leading roles in the opera productions, and by sponsoring a vocal competition."
