OPERA America's Artistic Services and Government Affairs departments support the opera field with issues related to the visa application process for international guest artists and provide the following services:
• Pre-petition peer consultation letters;
• Educational resources, including OPERA America's Web site, articles in Newsline , and national conference sessions;
• Forums for members to share information and collaborate with other colleagues in the field;
• Government advocacy addressing visa processing problems and delays at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS).
