Opera Saratoga, located in Saratoga Springs, New York, seeks a Wardrobe Assistant for a 6 week contract for its 2013 opera festival.

The Wardrobe Assistant assists the Wardrobe Supervisor with all costumes and hats, build, acquisition, changeover, and provides run support for all shows. Qualified applicants should have experience supervising costume staff members and Interns. A strong background in costuming is preferred.

The Wardrobe Assistant assists/works with the Wardrobe Supervisor and Costume Designer. The Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor will help with fittings, alterations, and organization, and then manage the run, including repairs, cleaning, and rental returns. Additionally the applicant should have experience supervising costume staff members and Interns. A strong background in costuming is preferred.

The contract begins June 3 and ends after July 12, 2013. Competitive pay is available and housing is provided during the contracted time.

2013 repertoire includes Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti and H.M.S. Pinafore by Gilbert & Sullivan.

	From Airport: The easiest way to reach the OPERA America offices is to get a cab at the airport. Cost is $40-45 (not including tip). JFK - Take the AirTrain ($5 - approx. 15 minutes) to the Jamaica Street Station and transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Take the LIRR to Penn Station ($12 - approx. 35 minutes). See Penn Station directions below. LaGuardia - Take the M60 Bus to the Hoyt Ave/31st Street. Get on the or Train and take that to 42nd/Times Square Station.
