Description: Five women at dinner discuss love. The model is Plato's "Symposium". Linearly, Belladonna follows events of the Easter passion—The Last Supper leads to scenes of temptation, solitude, betrayal, trial, execution, and resurrection. The gender inversion of Greek and Christian models produces effects as comical as they are moving.
