What's Goin' On is a fully-staged music theater work based on interviews and stories from the inner city: immigrants, workers, the unemployed, a cop, a merchant, the young and old; it's socially conscious, activist, and cutting edge. A collage of voice, "found object" percussion, tuned percussion, and viola, cello, and trumpet, the piece is created with Dubelski as composer and director, collaborating with the performers.
