Amarillo Opera, Inc.
The opera is based on a true story of a Methodist Minister convicted of poisoning his wife with a poisoned peach. The entire opera takes place in Reverend George Morrison's jail cell and his imagination. It is 1899 on the day of his execution. The jailer, Miss Whittelsey, and George are the only "real" characters in the opera. The others are figments of George's whiskey-induced guilt and imagination.

organ, harp, piano, and percussion

Can also be performed with two pianos, one piano, or recorded accompaniment
