The Diamond Child tells the story of the six-billionth child to be born on earth. The central character, Mother Ocean, grants to each of four couples around the world whatever they wish for their child. As these couples compare their wishes, they come to realize that we all share equally in the future of the world. Set in California, Africa, China, and the Caribbean.
