Opera on the Edge
GRACE is based on the Durham Stage Company's original production of GRACE written by New Hampshire natives John Carmichael and Edouard Langlois. The play was critically acclaimed by New Hampshire Public Radio as "the best produced new play of the year."
The opera was described by the Boston Globe as "lush and tonal…touching…beautiful." This is the first major American opera to deal with AIDS based on an award winning play that has moved audiences in New England and deserves a national run.
