| Description: |
Prologue: A visitor of Heathcliff's, Mr. Locke, is stranded at Wuthering Heights by a snowstorm. That night Heathcliff is awakened by Mr. Locke, who has had a nightmare about Cathy. Heathcliff, upon hearing of his dream, runs out into the snow in search of Cathy.
Act I: Twenty years earlier, Heathcliff and Cathy are seen together in the moors. Heathcliff was taken in as a child by Cathy's father but is despised by Cathy's brother Hindley.
Act II: Cathy accepts the attentions of another suitor, Edgar, whom Heathcliff distrusts. Cathy confesses to her maid, Nelly, that she has agreed to marry Edgar but is secretly in love with Heathcliff. Heathcliff overhears this and flees.
Act III: Three years later, Heathcliff visits Cathy and her husband, Edgar. In revenge, Heathcliff courts Edgar's sister, Isabella. Cathy, extremely distressed, becomes very ill.
Act IV: Heathcliff and Isabella have married, but Heathcliff has made his wife's life a living hell. Cathy returns to Wuthering Heights and dies in Heathcliff's arms.

The easiest way to reach the OPERA America offices is to get a cab at the airport. Cost is $40-45 (not including tip).

Take the AirTrain ($5 - approx. 15 minutes) to the Jamaica Street Station and transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR).
Take the LIRR to Penn Station ($12 - approx. 35 minutes). See Penn Station directions below.

Take the M60 Bus to the Hoyt Ave/31st Street. Get on the
or Train and take that to 42nd/Times Square Station.

From Penn Station/Madison Square Garden:
Leave the station through the 7th Avenue/33rd Street exit and walk south for four blocks. The building is on the right hand side.
From Grand Central Station:
Take the  Train to the 42nd/Times Square station and transfer to the  Train.
Take the  Train to the 28th Street stop and walk north on 7th Avenue.
The building is on the same block as the train stop.
From 42nd Street/Times Square:
Take the  Train to the 28th Street stop and walk north on 7th Avenue.
