Artist Scholarships to National Performing Arts Convention Now Available
To encourage our individual artist members to attend this summer's National Performing Arts Convention (NPAC) and Opera Conference 2008 in Denver, Colorado, from June 11-14, OPERA America will provide a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of registration for NPAC and Opera Conference 2008 (a $495 value). In addition, scholarship recipients will receive subsidies toward convention- and conference-related expenses including travel and affordable lodging. Opera Source: Opera Source contains the most recent information available on auditions and other upcoming events, as well as general information on thousands of mainstage, training, educational, management and competition opportunities from a range of organizations.
Visa Support: OPERA America's Artistic Services and Government Affairs departments support the opera field with issues related to the visa application process for international guest artists.
National Singer Training Forum: Comprising stakeholders in the field of opera, the National Singer Training Forum gathers twice each year to discuss critical issues concerning the training and career development of young artists.
Conferences and Conventions: OPERA America’s annual conference is the largest gathering of opera professionals in North America. Also included is a link to the National Performing Arts Convention, held every four years.
Making Connections: This series, held at OPERA America’s New York offices, consists of professional development and networking events for all opera artists.
Standard Costume Measurement Form: Created by OPERA America’s Technical/Production Committee, this measurement form is a valuable resource for companies, artist managers and singers.
Publications: OPERA America provides an array of publications for opera artists, administrators and enthusiasts including field surveys, directories and career guidance.
