OPERA America support good governance of opera companies through assistance in strategic planning and other customized consulting services. Professional Opera Company members may designate three trustees to receive all the benefits of individual membership in OPERA America and nominate a trustee to become part of the National Trustee Council.

  Formerly called the Alliance for Nonprofit Governance, Governance Matters is dedicated to promoting good governance for nonprofit organizations. Governance Matters offers a resource directory and a series of helpful short articles, such as myths and realities about nonprofit boards, and Internet resource links. A special feature is the Nonprofit Governance Indicator Guide, a governance assessment tool.
