Councils

Opera Teens Councils are active groups that learn together about opera, raise awareness of the art form and give back to their communities. Councils share news about their activities, receive planning support from OPERA America and connect with a national network. Check out the Directory on the Council Corner page for the list of active Councils.

Don’t see a Council near you? Start your own.
Get together with a group of at least three teens who can organize three events between September 2015 and August 2016. Community service projects are strongly encouraged! Find resources in the Council Corner and start planning events today. Start gathering information for your Council now using this worksheet. When you are ready to submit your Council application, click below.

Individual Opera Teens

The three founding members of Councils are automatically registered as individuals. If you are part of a Council but were not included on its New Council Registration, register here and indicate your Council affiliation.
