Nico Muhly Nico Muhly is a classical composer and has composed orchestral works, choral works, film scores and works for operatic voices. He studied English literature at Columbia University and received an M.M. from the Juilliard School. Muhly has composed for the American Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Chicago Symphony, violinist Hilary Hahn, New York City Ballet, New York Philharmonic, Paris Opéra Ballet and soprano Jessica Rivera, and has collaborated with artists Bjork, Antony and the Johnsons, Bryce Dessner and Sufjan Stevens. Upcoming premieres include a Double Percussion Concerto, a new collaboration with choreographer Benjamin Millepied and the U.S. premiere of his full-scale opera,
