OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to internal promotions and staff expansion, we are seeking an outstanding fundraising professional to join our dynamic Development team in the role of Donor Relations Manager.

The Donor Relations Manager leads several existing development efforts related to annual fund individual giving, corporate sponsorships, in-kind relationships and U.S. Bank Broadway in Portland memberships.   The Donor Relations Manager also provides leadership and direction to the Portland Opera’s donor stewardship program, and conducts ongoing analyses of existing development programs.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires a minimum five years of progressively responsible and successful experience with nonprofit fundraising, donor cultivation, and event planning and logistics.  You must have a high degree of comfort communicating by telephone and in person to solicit both financial and in-kind donations

Professional demeanor, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive, collaborative team approach to work are essential. 

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management software are required. 

The ideal candidate will also have fundraising and development experience with performing arts organizations and familiarity with donor management software.

Salary is competitive, based on experience.
