Production and Administrative Intern

Ardea Arts creates and produces provocative new works of opera and music-theater to entertain, challenge and inspire today's global community, uplift the human spirit and encourage new ways of seeing our world. We are working on the premiere of a new work and need your help to make this new work a success! 
The right candidate will be organized, able to multitask yet complete jobs with a high degree of excellence, an excellent writer, a good communicator, a team player, detail oriented, a self-starter, and ready to pitch in with whatever is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Mac OSX required; proficiency in database management a plus. Knowledge of theater, music theater, opera and family programming a plus. Photoshop experience and ability to read music a plus.

Specific tasks and skills: 
• Maintain spreadsheet and databases of artists, presenters, and donors 
• Development assistance: database entry and maintenance, foundation research, donor correspondence prep. 
• Assistance with grant preparation, marketing packets, scheduling and travel arrangements •General administrative support: Paperwork, packets, flyers, errands, mailings, 
• Maintaining and organizing office facilities 
• Organizational maintenance 
• Organize archival material 
• Event Planning: Assist with event planning and production, (occasional evening and weekend hours) event management, cleanup, and post-event organization. 
• Social media: Assist with all types of social media including FB, Twitter, email lists and Website maintenance. 
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs 
• Various other tasks and duties as needed. 
The internship will run the length of the Spring semester. The internship will require working a minimum of 16 hours per week commitment. Successful candidate's working schedule will be determined by hiring. This internship can be FOR CREDIT. 
*Stipend: Monthly Metro-Card after the first month.*
