The North American Works Directory is the online hub for information about North American opera and music-theater works. This ever-growing Directory features data for over 1,200 North American operas, with information on vocal/musical forces, musical style, length, source materials, synopsis, contact information, and premiere dates and locations. Each opera’s Directory record also includes information on past and future performances produced by
OPERA America’s organizational members.
The
North American Works Directory also houses information on
OPERA America’s grant program,
The Opera Fund. In conjunction with Opera.ca's
Canadian Opera Creation Fund,
The Opera Fund provides technical and financial support to
OPERA America Professional Company Members and others as part of an initiative to enhance the quality, quantity and creativity of new opera and music-theater in North America. Records for
Opera Fund awardees contain additional audio-visual media, including production photos, production videos and/or audio excerpts. Visit the

Directory Submissions
The
North American Works Directory accepts new submissions and updates to existing entries from all
OPERA America members. The
Directory is open to opera/music-theater works written by a composer and/or librettist who is a citizen or permanent resident of North America. The work must be published or produced by an
OPERA America individual or organizational member.
