The Gilbert and Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island
Open Principal Auditions for GASLOCoLI's #Patience!

The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island is holding open principal auditions for their upcoming production of “Patience” (Schirmer edition) on Wednesday, November 8th (East Meadow United Methodist Church) and  Thursday, November 9th (Chatterton Elementary School in Merrick) beginning at 7:30 PM. Callbacks if necessary will take place Wednesday, November 15th at the East Meadow location. Please bring sheet music and be prepared to sing a Gilbert & Sullivan (or similar) selection that highlights your abilities. Also be prepared to read a selection of dialogue that will be provided to you at that time. No compensation is offered for these roles, nor is there a fee for participating..

There will be a dialogue run-through in December. Principals will be expected to have familiarized themselves with their parts for our full staging rehearsals, which will commence in February and will generally run Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Chatterton School. Please also note: music rehearsals will commence in January, and all are welcome to join the chorus. Performances will begin in April and may run through early July. Visit our website or facebook page for additional information.
