Lynn Spurgat, soprano with Jason Wirth, piano
7:00PM - 9:00PM

Presented by Lynn Spurgat

Soprano Lynn Spurgat will be joined by pianist Jason Wirth in a program that highlights the emotional spectrum of unrequited love. From the profound love between Richard Wagner and Mathilde Wesendonck that inspired one of opera’s most epic love stories, to Liszt’s beautifully set sonnets of Petraca’s unattainable Laura, these romantic mainstays will be bookended by fiery and dramatic outbursts of love by Beethoven and Granados.

Program:
BEETHOVEN Ah, Perfido!
WAGNER Wesendonck Lieder
LISZT Tre sonetti di Petraca
GRANADOS Selections from the Tonadillas and Goyescas

This event is not ticketed.
