Le nozze di Figaro

Sung in Italian with English supertitles, this production will be a traditional 18th century rendering.  But don’t be fooled by the pretty costumes.  There are dirty doings afoot!  All Figaro wants to do is get married, but he is confronted at every step of the way by people with other plans in mind.  He can be released from a debt to a woman old enough to be his mother – as long as she gets to be the bride!  His boss has no problems with the marriage - as long as he gets to take the bride for a test run first! To complicate matters, there is a pubescent page on the prowl.  Mozart’s divine music, combined with some devilish deceptions and disguises will provide healthy doses of the sublime and the ridiculous.
