Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts seeks a Rehearsal Administrator (Seasonal, late April - late August) to oversee all Wolf Trap Opera daily schedule and facilities and coordinating general company management and artist services.  Supervising the WTO Daily Schedule, and takes responsibility for its creation, management and dissemination. Collects information from the various constituent groups, and uses independent judgement to prioritize requests based on WTO goals, rehearsal space availability, and other WTO and Foundation considerations. Works closely with Assistant Director, Artistic Operations and Company Manager to execute WTO internal events; staffing, event set up and hospitality needs. Assists with setup/strike for opening night parties, seminars and pre-show talks.  Manages instrument rentals and deliveries.  In collaboration with the Assistant Director, Artistic Operations and Company Manager, supervise the Administrative Apprentices. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Opera or related field plus 2-4 years’ experience in production administration within a professional arts organization.  Position requires knowledge of opera, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license and vehicle.  Must be able to sit at a desk for 50% of the day and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.  Candidates must be self-motivated, detailed oriented, and highly organized.  Position requires excellent communication and time management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capacity to seek and synthesize information.  Candidates must be available 40-50 hours, six days a week including evenings and weekends, from April 29 –August 30, 2019.  Must pass a background check.  Pay rate: $850-$925/week.  Call 703.255.1935 or email opera@wolftrap.org with questions.
