Professional sound recordings are essential tools for opera artists seeking to promote their work. Required by most opera companies, competitions, young artist programs and conservatories, an excellent recording is the first step to getting a foot in the door.
Recording Days offer artists the chance to create high-quality audio recordings at an affordable price. Working with a professional sound engineer, each registrant is allotted one hour to record in the acoustically excellent Marc A. Scorca Hall at the National Opera Center. Singers must make arrangements to bring their own pianist. Recording Days will take place on August 11, 22 and 24, and September 12, 14 and 19, 2016.
$125 for members, $175 for non-members. For more information, visit operaamerica.org/RecordingDays.
