Boston Baroque

Senior Manager of Institutional Giving

DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Boston Baroque welcomes applications for the position of Senior Manager of Institutional Giving. As we enter our 53rd season and embark on the search for Boston Baroque’s second Music Director, we are well-positioned to build upon an institutional giving program that reflects the growth the organization has made in the last five years and is poised to make in the years to come.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Manager of Institutional Giving is a self-starter with experience in foundation and corporate fundraising, possessing a polished professional demeanor comfortable with both the written and interpersonal aspects of developing an institutional giving program. The Senior Manager of Institutional Giving will be responsible for maintaining the current grant relationships enjoyed by Boston Baroque, while conducting the necessary research and outreach to expand this program to one that will raise $300,000 in FY2026 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026).

This is a hybrid role; during the season (September – June) Boston Baroque staff meets in person one day a week, with additional in-person days added as needed during concert weeks. The remaining days are remote. Attendance is required at all Boston Baroque concerts: two performances over one weekend in October, December, January (New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day), March, and April. Attendance is also required at other events: performances by the X-tet, our resident chamber ensemble; Development, cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events; and our annual gala.
