DESCRIPTION

The Associate Technical Director reports to the Director of Production & Technical Director and manages various  production operations at Austin Opera.  The Associate Technical Director will oversee technical operations of the rehearsal & performance venues at Austin Opera's new Butler Performance Center, set to open in spring 2026. They will also collaborate on the planning and performance of the company's shows at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, overseeing technical schedules, operations, and payroll for the stage crew.

This position is ideal for an experienced stage technician who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
