Portland Opera is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Patron Services Representative. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position, reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications & Patron Services Manager.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides high-level, concierge-style customer service on the phone, over email, and in person at Portland Opera events
Assists with ticket sales, subscription renewals and acquisition, sales and donation campaigns, and community ticketing initiatives
Conducts outbound sales and fundraising campaigns
Acquires and utilizes an in-depth knowledge of Tessitura ticketing system to maintain accurate patron, ticketing, and sales data
Works with development and marketing to ensure clear and accessible language is used in all correspondence, aligned with Portland Opera’s brand standards
Assists with event preparation including ticket printing, will call organization, and box office set up at performance venues
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
A minimum of 2 years related experience with quality sales and customer service
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to actively listen with empathy
Working knowledge of Tessitura or other integrated CRM fundraising/ticketing system preferred
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience answering a multi-line ACD phone system

Pay Range: $22 - $23 Hourly
