OPERA America recently awarded a total of $165,000 in Next Stage Grants to seven opera companies to support subsequent productions of existing, underperformed North American operas. The grants help each company to present an existing production or originate a new production of a work and, in some cases, make revisions to the work’s score, libretto, or orchestration.
