On Sat Mar 19 and Sat Mar 26 from 2 to 4pm, Opera Huntsville presents Voice and Acting Apprentice Masterclasses to the public.
Opera Huntsville’s Apprentice Program centers on training Greater Huntsville locals in the art of opera and in bridging the gap between university and secondary education and professional opportunities. Because OH’s mission includes educating both emerging artists and community audiences alike, the Apprentice Masterclasses are public presentations that create mutual benefit to the apprentices and through providing exciting behind-the-scenes opportunities for audiences to learn more about opera training and production.
The Vocal Masterclass will be taught by Oakwood University opera faculty Dr. Julie Moore Foster, and the Acting Masterclass will be taught by Alabama A&M theater faculty Jill Balch-Coon.
