Behind the Table: Demystifying the Opera Audition

The audition process for young artist programs has evolved in recent years, responding to the changing needs of artists and the industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many young artist programs and competitions have taken their auditions online, changing the process even further. In this webinar, OPERA America shares data collected from a survey of 15 young artist programs on their digital auditions, and a panel of YAP and competition administrators lead a conversation and answer questions on the realities of the opera audition process, from application to offer.
