Opera Conference 2022 - Keynote by Kao Kalia Yang

The keynote address is given by Kao Kalia Yang, Hmong American writer and author of "The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir" from Coffee House Press and "The Song Poet" from Metropolitan Press. In this address, she speaks about finding her voice and discusses the experience of being asked to turn her book into an opera. She welcomes the audience to  Minneapolis, the city that helped to make her the woman that she is. She also shares excerpts from her book, "The Song Poet."
