New Works Exploration Fund for Works by Women
The New Works Exploration Fund for Works by Women provides travel subsidies for staff of Professional Opera Company Members to travel to other cities to attend performances or workshops of new American opera by women composers.
The New Works Exploration Fund for Works by Women encourages greater familiarity with new American opera and music theater works composed by women, and the producers and artists who create them.
The New Works Exploration Fund is supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.
Program Details
Eligible companies may request up to $2,000 annually (as available) to support travel expenses related to staff attendance at performances or workshops of new American works composed by women. Requests are approved on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding is exhausted.
