Synopsis
Ruinous Gods centers on seven displaced children who have uppgivenhetssyndrom, a rare trauma response diagnosed in children at refugee camps around the world. This opera, based on survivors’ documented testimonies, resists popular dystopian narratives and creates a space for imagination and agency.
