Opera RESPECTS
Opera RESPECTS is a national anti-harassment and respectful workplace initiative for opera companies and individuals working in the industry.
The program unifies the opera field’s response with policy standards for anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and civil workplace behavior. It engages administrators and artists in training to create safe workplace culture, and establishes consistent structures for reporting and accountability.
Opera RESPECTS seeks to create a safe and civil workplace, free from harassment and discrimination, for opera-employees on-stage and off. It is developed in collaboration with the American Guild of Musical Artists and Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service.
