2025 Discovery Grant Winners
OPERA America has awarded eight composers with Discovery Grants as a part of its Opera Grants for Women Composers program. Supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation, the grants are intended to promote the work of women composers and raise their visibility in the field. A total of $100,000 will assist the composers in developing their new works, providing funding for activities like libretto readings and workshops. This year’s recipients are:
