Libretto Reading - an opera for Ernest Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls
7:30PM - 10:00PM

Presented by Brian Wilbur Grundstrom

Composer Brian Wilbur Grundstrom is writing the music for an opera to Ernest Hemingway’s For Whom the Bell Tolls.  The libretto by David Dorsen is finished, and contains six scenes in two acts.  The music for Act I scene 3 has been written and professionally recorded.  David Dorsen is an award-winning author whose books include biographies of Judge Henry Friendly and US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

This libretto reading will be done by actors as a development workshop, and there will be no music.  More information about the opera, including a video of the recording of the finished scene is available at www.brianwilbur.com.
