The Seeds of Beauty in New York (Special Edition)
8:00PM - 9:30PM

I Love You Institute / Yoshiko Nakamura

Directly from Japan, Artistic Director Shingo Tokihiro (composition, production and costume) subtly and powerfully makes his New York debut with The Seeds of Beauty (New York edition).

Tokihiro's costumes were used at National Theatre, New National Theatre, National Treasure Todaiji Temple and more in Japan and at The National Textile Museum in Malaysia. He produces performances beyond genres such as theatre and dance.

The Japan-based troupe of producing artists presents a delicate taste of traditional eastern culture with a lineup of nine short scenes planting the SEEDS OF BEAUTY in New York.

The performance features: NOH Performance (Keiku Sahashi, Seiren), Classical Indian dance (Rukumini Naoko), Belly dance (Yuku Kuwahara), Leier (Junko Takaya), Erhu (Makiko Naruo), Shamisen (Ryuzan), Nembutsu Dance (Rukumini, Kuwahara, Teo), Aria on the G string & Hannyashingyo (Souken Danjo, Keiku).

Beauticians and dressers: Yumi Takeda, Yoichiro Furukawa, Ichizo Kubo,
